What
is the ISCE About?
ISCE stands for International Symposium on Consumer Electronics and it
is the Consumer Electronic Society's non US conference. You may prefer
to think of it as the sister conference to the ICCE. It originated in
Asia, that is Region 10 and was first held as a bi-annual conference and
rotated between Hong Kong, Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea. From 1996
onwards it became an annual event. Since 1996 it has been held in the
following locations:
1997 Singapore, Republic of Singapore
1998 Taipei, Taiwan
1999 Malakka, Malaysia
2000 Hong Kong, Peoples Republic of China
2001 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
2002 Ilmenau, Germany
2003 Singapore
2004 Reading, Uinted Kingdom
The objective of the ISCE is to provide a forum where people involved in
consumer electronics can meet and exchange ideas. It provides an
opportunity for regional authors to present their work at a highly
regarded conference, without having to incur the expense of travelling
to the United States. You will find that the spectrum of topics covered
is broad and covers all aspects of consumer electronics. It has become a
tradition to host world class tutorials on the day preceding the
conference.
Authors who present papers at the ISCE are encouraged to submit full
papers to the IEEE CE Society Transactions. A number of these papers
have been published in the Transactions. |
