Groups & Centres

Over the past 20 years, CityU-EE has built a critical mass in the following research groups:

• Applied Electromagnetics

• Control Systems and Power Electronics

• Optoelectronics and Solid State Devices
• Wireless Communications

To capitalize on the strengths and achievements of the above research groups, the following research centres and one State Key Laboratory have been established:

• CityU HK-UESTC Joint Research Center on Optical Fiber Sensing and Communication
  
• Information and Communication Technologies Centre

* With the support and approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology, CityU established her State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves in March 2008. It is the only Engineering State Key Laboratory in Hong Kong.
