The Xiamen city is an island city. In http://www.maps-of-china.net/city/xiamenm.htm you can find an English map of Xiamen. Generally the taxi is more convenient.  

  a. You can select 2 roads from XM airport to Xiamen University taking taxi: 

      1. It takes about 40RMB(USD$5.3) via Dongdu Lu (west side of island) by taxi(about 30minutes).

      2. It takes about 70RMB(USD$9.3) via Huangdao Lu (east side of island) by taxi (about 30minutes).  This is the more secnic route!
  
  b. Take the shuttle bus at the airport and get off at the Xiamen Railway Station bus Stop [the fare to Xiamen Railway Station bus stop is RMB 5(about US$ 0.8)], then by taxi (RMB 15-20, about US$ 2-2.5) to Xiamen university. The Shuttle bus service runs from 7:00 to 21:00 daily. 

  c. All accommodation hotels of conference are inside the XMU campus, near the Danan gate of Xiamen University (just around 20-50 metres away).
