Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination Qualifications

Apart from meeting the University's language proficiency requirements (English and Chinese/other language), students must satisfy the following requirements for the purpose of admission:

E or above in A-level Applied Mathematics or Pure Mathematics or Physics or Engineering Science PLUS one of the following requirements:

• E or above in one other A-level subject; or
• E or above in two AS-level subjects (excluding AS-level Use of English, and Chinese Language and Culture)

Direct Applicants

A higher diploma or associate degree in an engineering or a science discipline; or an equivalent qualification.

Starting from 2011 admission and onward, HD or AD graduates / students will be entering with advanced standing route. No credit transfer will be granted. Instead, entrants may apply for course exemption. Please click here for more information and click here for course exemption arrangement.

Admissions

Application materials are available:

• At the Distribution Counter located at the Admission Office, Floor 5, Fong Yun Wah Building, CityU (Mon to Fri: 9:15am -5:15pm; Sat: 9:15am -12:00noon)

Tuition Fees

Local Students *	Non-local students #
$42,100 per annum	$60,000 per annum (for students admitted in 2007 or earlier)
	$80,000 per annum (for students admitted in 2008-2010)
	$100,000 per annum (for students to be admitted in 2011)

*    The tuition fee is subject to annual review. If there are changes to the tuition fee set by the HKSAR Government, the tuition fee may be adjusted.

#   The tuition fee may increase if there are changes to the tuition fee set by the HKSAR Government. If there are no changes to the government-set tuition fee, the fee will apply until the end.
