Scholarships, Prizes and Subsidies

Scholarships and Prizes Open for All CityU Undergraduate Students, 2011/2012

Various scholarships are open for application now and students are encouraged to submit their applications. Most of the scholarships are competitive in nature, the Department will consider all the applications and the selected applicants will compete with the other applicants from CityU or other Universities, as appropriate.

Commencing 2009/2010, the University has approved to set HK$140,000 as an upper limit on the total amount of merit-based awards of the University, namely University scholarships and prizes, an undergraduate / sub-degree student may receive in an academic year.  The guideline, aiming to enable more deserving students to benefit from the University resources, will apply to all local and non-local undergraduate and sub-degree students. However, scholarships designated for exchange activities, placements and course-required projects are excluded.  Please also note that recipients of a single award worth over HK$140,000 are not subject to this rule and may receive the full amount of that award.
