EE4093 BEngIE Basic Training I (Summer 2012)

Training Description:

Linux is a free open source Unix-like Operating System for PCs that was initially created as a hobby by a young student, Linus Torvalds, in Finland on 1991. The open source nature of Linux means that the source code for the Linux kernel is freely available so that anyone can add features and correct deficiencies. This approach has been very successful and now Linux is becoming very popular on both server and desktop applications. The major objective of this training is to provide hand-on experience for students on basic Unix commands and managing Linux-based system by its advanced graphical user interface.
