Dr. Ng was born in Hong Kong. He received the B.Sc. degree in information technology and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from City University of Hong Kong in 1998 and 2003, respectively. He was a Senior Research Assistant at the City University of Hong Kong until July 2005. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong, and his research interests include dielectric resonator antennas, circularly polarized antennas, and numerical analysis in electromagnetics.

NATURE OF RESEARCH
- Dielectric resonator antenna designs on linearly and circularly polarization applications.
- Studies on low loss, wide-band and frequency adjustable antennas.
- Derive and programme large scale EM problems.

ON-GOING DIRECTION
- Genetic algorithm (Jumping genes paradigm)
- Small size and wideband patch antenna
- LP and CP DRA and patch antenna

Research Assistance I (Occupied)
- Degree holder in Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines.
- Solid experience in PCB fabrication and antenna measurement is highly desirable.
- Familiar in microwave software simulation, such as IE3D, CST is an advatange.
- Knowledge in antenna and RF circuit designs is a plus.
