Note 1: Limited funds are now available to support IEEE ITW-Chengdu (2006) participants. Support will be in the form of partial reimbursement of travel expenses or hotel costs (there are two categories as noted in Note 2-3), and you may apply for support if the following two conditions are met: (1) You have an accepted paper (invited, oral or poster presentation); (2) you are a Ph.D. Student (with supporting letter from your supervisor), or young faculty or staff (with supporting letter from your department head), or an author from an economically disadvantaged country.

Note 2: The first category of grants from US-NSF is restricted to US participants only (including U.S. alien). Please indicate the requested amount (not to exceed the price of a round trip air ticket from your home to Chengdu), and send your request as soon as possible to Prof. Daniel Costello(Email: costello.2@nd.edu), decisions will be made by October 1st, 2006.

Note 3: The second category of grants from other sources opens to all non-US participants to cover their hotel cost in Chengdu for up to 5 nights. Please send your request before October 6th, 2006, to Prof. Pingzhi FAN (Email: p.fan@ieee.org) and Dr Li HAO (Email: lhao@home.swjtu.edu.cn), decisions will be made by October 10th, 2006.
