Dr Tang obtained his BSc from the University of Hong Kong in 1988, and both MSc and PhD from the City University of Hong Kong in 1992 and 1996, respectively. Prior to his doctorate programme which was started in September 1993, he has worked in Hong Kong industry for over five years. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. He is a member of Nonlinear Circuits and Systems (NCAS) Technical Committee in IEEE CAS Society, IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Technical Committee on Soft Computing. He was an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II in 1.2004-12.2005, and is now an associate editor of Dynamics of Continuous, Discrete & Impulsive Systems, Series B. He was also the Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society in 2007-08.
