Projects
Learning is a game and group project is a good learning game.

The objective of this group project is to encourage students to investigating or developing network and system administratoin techniques.

Students, working as small groups (5 students), will be required to complete a development projects during the semester. The project can be Analysis/evaluation/comparison of existing techniques through a literature survey and then perform some system set up and configurations (some programming may required).

Each group will choose or propose a topic of interest in the field of Network and System Administration. Students are required to give a 20 minutes oral presentation of their selected topic and written project proposal and report with lab precedure similar to the lab menu of this course.

  • Proposal (2%) - Due date 23rd Sept 2014
  • Survey and Experiment (8%)
    • Conduct survey, implementation, and experiments according to your proposal
    • Present and demonstrate your work and results (20 mins)
    • Write a report of your project including introduction, theory, set up precedure, evaluaation, etc - Due date 2nd Dec. 2014
    • The project presentation will be arranged for each group during the lecture section or a special section on weeks 13. The schedule is listed in Schedule Page.

Suggested Projects
The due date for the project selection is 9th Sept 2014. Students have to submit their selected project title with group members list to L.M. Po before the deadline by email. If a project is selected, the names of these students will be listed after the project description with red color. In addition, students can also propose their own projects, they have to e-mail their project proposal to me before the project selection due date for approval.
