The establishment of the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves (SKLMW), Partner Laboratory in City University of Hong Kong, was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China in March 2008. It is the first State Key Laboratory among all engineering disciplines in Hong Kong. The Laboratory strives for advancing the applications of millimeter-wave and terahertz technologies. Its key mission areas include antenna designs, RFIC designs, and fast computational techniques. The Laboratory works closely with its strategic partner laboratory at the Southeast University for promoting collaboration between Hong Kong and Mainland. The laboratory considers its long-term goal to carry out fundamental and applied research for the advancements of communication technologies in China.
