CHE Wenquan and ZHANG Xiu Yin

Two PhD Graduates being Elected IEEE Fellow 2022

Prof CHE Wenquan, PhD graduate of 2004, has been elected IEEE Fellow for her contributions to planar transmission line structures for microwave passive components. During her studies with EE, Prof Che specialized in microwave nonreciprocal latching ferrite devices under the supervision of Prof Edward Yung. Prof Che is now the Professor of School of Electric and Information Engineering, South China University of Technology. Her current research interests include microwave antenna technology and medical application of microwave technology.

Prof ZHANG Xiu Yin, PhD graduate of 2009, has been elected IEEE Fellow for his contributions to the design of filtering antennas. He was supervised by Prof Quan Xue during his studies in EE, researching in novel RF resonators and bandpass filters. Prof Zhang currently is the Professor and Vice Dean of School of Electric and Information Engineering, South China University of Technology, focusing on research in antennas and arrays, MMIC, and microwave/terahertz circuits.
