Information Day 2014 - The Grand Cell Tracking Experiment
On Information Day 2014, our centre has sponsored a public science reserach project to study the mobility of human cancer cells on patterned substrates led by Dr. Yun-Wah Lam and Prof. Stella W. Pang. We have invited high school students visiting our university to join the reserach activity. The participants have used an open-source image analyzing software to track the movement of selected human cancer cells in a series of time-lapse movie frames. The tracking data will be collected and further analyzed in order to study the mobility and behavior of human cancer cells on various engineered platforms.
