Prof Derrick Jiang (Associate Professor), Dr Ben Zhang (Postdoc), and scholars from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Hanjiang National Laboratory, Harbin Engineering University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Cambridge, and Wuhan University, have won the Silver Medal at Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIIF) 2026 for the project titled “Smart Subsea Wireless Power Network for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles”. The project focuses on an intelligent subsea wireless power network designed to provide autonomous and reliable energy replenishment for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
SVIIF, organized by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), brings together more than 500 inventors from over 30 countries, creating an international platform for innovation, creativity, and technological advancement.
