Prof. Wang received his B.S. degree in Microelectronics from Tsinghua University in 2012, and his S.M. (2015) and Ph.D. (2017) degrees, both in Electrical Engineering from Harvard University, supervised by Prof. Marko Lončar. After conducting research as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard, he joined City University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor in 2018, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. Prof. Wang's research focuses on the design and nanofabrication technology of integrated photonic devices and circuits. His current research effort focuses on realizing integrated lithium niobate photonic circuits for applications in optical communications, millimeter-wave/terahertz technologies, nonlinear optics, and quantum photonics. Since joining CityU, Prof. Wang has received a number of awards in both research and teaching, including the NSFC Excellent Young Scientist Fund (HK & Macau) (2019), the Croucher Innovation Award (2020), The President's Award, CityU (2020), 35 Innovators Under 35 (China), MIT Technology Review (2021), as well as EE Outstanding Teaching Award (2019/20&2020/21) and College Outstanding Teaching Award (2020/21). He is currently Senior Members of IEEE and Optica.

Dr. Sun received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degrees all from Harbin Institute of Technology, before joining CityU as a postdoc in 2020. His research focuses on Micro & Nano Photonics, Microcavity, Perovskite lasers and integrated devices.

Dr. CHEN Zhaoxi received his B.S. and M.S. degrees both from Tianjin University. He completed his doctoral studies in CityU under the co-supervision of Prof. Edwin Pun and Dr. Cheng Wang. After graduation from CityU EE department, He joined Dr WANG Cheng’s group as Postdoc in 2022. His research interests include Lithium Niobate Photonics, Optical Amplifiers, Micro- and Nano-fabrication.

Dr. Zeng received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degrees all from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He served as a research assistant at State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves, CityU in 2018. He joined Prof. Wang's group as a Postdoc in 2023. His research interests include integrated nano-photonic devices and microwave photonics.

Ke received his B.S. degree and M.S. degrees from University of Science & Technology Beijing, in 2014 and 2017 respectively. He joined CHENG lab in 2018 as a PhD student and obtained his doctoral degree in 2023. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the group. His research interests include lithium niobate photonics, optical frequency comb, micro- and nano-fabrication.

Dr. Xie received his B.S. and Ph.D degrees from HUST and BUPT, in 2018 and 2023 respectively. From September 2022 to September 2023, he worked as a research assistant at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, with the support of the China Scholarship Council, under the supervision of Prof. José Capmany. He joined the CHENG lab as a Postdoc in January 2024. His research interests include integrated microwave photonics, optical signal processing and measurements, and optical frequency comb.

Dr. Tao received his B.S. and Ph.D degrees from UESTC and PKU, in 2017 and 2022 respectively. From Aug. 2022 to Apr. 2024, he worked as a senior engineer at Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. He joined the CHENG lab as a Postdoc in Apr. 2024. His research interests include integrated microwave photonics, and thin-film lithium niobate photonics.

Dr. Feng received his B.S. and M.S. degree from Xi'an University of Technology and Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2016 and 2019, respectively. He joined CHENG lab in 2020 as a PhD student and obtained his doctoral degree in 2024. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the group. His research interests include the design and nanofabrication technology of integrated lithium niobate and its applications in the microwave photonics and optical communications. He has received a series of awards in research and exhibitions, including the Rising Star in Microwave Photonics (2024), First prize of Light Doctoral Academic League in Hong Kong and Macao Division (2024), Silver Medal in Geneva International Exhibition of Invention (2024), as well as 2nd Runner Up in the IET Young Professionals Exhibition (2024).

Xiaoting received her B.S. degree and M. S. degree from Heilongjiang University and Nankai University in 2016 and 2019, respectively. She joined CHENG lab in 2019 as a Ph. D. student at CityU. Xiaoting is a recipient of HKPFS.

Yiwen received his B.S. and M.S. degree from Shandong University and Zhejiang University in 2016 and 2019, respectively. She joined CHENG lab in 2019 as a Ph.D. student at cityU.

Chengfei received his B.S. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He joined CHENG lab in 2020 as a Ph.D. student at cityU.

Zhenzheng received his B.S. and M.S. degree from Anhui University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2014 and 2017, respectively. He started working at Huawei in 2017 as an optical technology engineer. He joined CHENG lab in 2021 as a Ph.D. student at CityU.

Yikun received his B.S. and M.S. degree from Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2018 and 2021, respectively. He joined CHENG lab in 2021 as a Ph.D. candidate at CityU.

Haochuan received his B.S. and M.S. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and The Chinese University of Hongkong, Shenzhen in 2018 and 2021, respectively. He joined CHENG lab in 2022 as a Ph.D. candidate at CityU.
