Research
From fundamental electromagnetic phenomena to programmable antennas, our research connects wave control with communications, sensing and imaging.
High-gain millimeter-wave & terahertz antennas
We develop high-gain millimeter-wave and terahertz antennas using 3D-printed lenses, transmitarrays, reflectarrays and leaky-wave structures. Our designs enable circular polarization, beam scanning and near-field focus steering, combining efficient wavefront control with wide bandwidth and compact profiles. We also explore filtering antennas and amplitude-modulated leaky-wave designs for high-directivity radiation and tailored beam patterns.

Spatiotemporal modulation metasurface
We study spatiotemporally modulated metasurfaces for joint control of spatial radiation patterns and spectral components. Our work includes sideband-free space-time coding, independent control of harmonic orders and manipulation of the fundamental characteristics of electromagnetic waves.

Applied electromagnetics
We explore electromagnetic wave phenomena and their device implications, including vortex waves, gyromagnetic media, terahertz imaging and integrated sensing and communication.
