Information for Prospective PhD Students

Positions are open for the PhD program at City University of Hong Kong. We are looking for highly motivated undergraduate or master graduates with academic background in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or other related areas. Successful applicants will be offered full-time scholarship at highly competitive rates:

  • PhD studentships with a stipend of $HK17,800 per month ($18,800 after Qualifying Exam, PORTAL: CityU Research Degree Programmes)
  • Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme with a stipend of $HK 27,600 per month. (PORTAL: HKPFS)
