Prof Michael Tse, Chair Professor of EE, has received Second Place for the 2021 IEEE Power Electronics Society Transactions Prize Paper Award. The winning paper, co-authored with scholars from Harbin Institute of Technology, is titled “General pathways to higher order compensation circuits for IPT converters via sensitivity analysis”. Their paper was ranked as one of the best of the awarded papers from a total of 1233 papers published in the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics in 2021. Mr CHENG Cheung Yu (INFE, Year 3) and Miss RUAN Yuyan (2022 CDE graduate), who formed a team with a student from Department of Computer Science, have won the Second Prize in the Global Final of Huawei ICT Competition 2021-2022 under the Innovation category.
