Call for Demonstrations

The 2009 International Conference on Field-Programmable Technology (FPT'09) solicits submissions relating to technical demonstrations to be presented at a special Demonstration Session. Demonstrations of tools, techniques and applications are welcome, with an emphasis on themes related to reconfiguration.

SUBMISSIONS

All demo proposals should be written up as 4-page papers that detail the goals of the demonstration along with the theory and implementation of the system being demonstrated, and any related results.

Accompanying the paper, please submit a single-page cover note in which you provide the following details:

  • Author(s) and affiliation(s)
  • Demo completeness to date
  • Remaining development to be completed
  • Equipment to be brought as part of the demo
  • Intended method of equipment transportation
  • Setup time required
  • Any additional requirements/notes

Note that the conference organisers will only be able to provide a single table, power outlet and wireless connectivity. It is your responsibility to bring all equipment and connectivity, and to confirm compatibility with Australian voltage standards.

Papers will be reviewed by the committee and those accepted will be published in the proceedings, with live demonstration being a requirement. Demonstration proposals will be judged on technical merit, practical maturity and suitability of theme. You are also encouraged to bring a poster to accompany your demonstrations.
