VISA INFORMATION

All visitors to Australia, except those holding New Zealand or Norfolk Island passports, must apply for a visa before entering Australia. You must apply for a business visa in your country of residence before travelling to Australia. There are three standard classes of Visa that are applicable to conference participants and attendees, and your eligibility depends on the country of your passport. These are:

eVisitor (subclass 651) - For many EU passport holders
ETA (Business Entrant) (Subclass 956 and 977) - From many other countries. Can apply online (AU$20 processing fee) or through your airport/travel agent.
Business (Short Stay) (Subclass 456) visa - All other countries (AU$105 processing fee applies)

VISA HELP

The International Event Coordinator Network (IECN) of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) has informed us that we can assist timely processing by Australia's visa offices overseas (predominantly for those applying for the Business(Short Stay) (Subclass 456) visa) if you register for the conference and then provide us the following information:

Passport Number
Passport Expiry Date (DD/MM/YYYY)
Current Country of Residence
Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
Last Name (as it appears on passport)
First and Middle Names (in full)
Gender
Attendance Type (Presenter/Attendee)

If you provide us with this information, we will forward it to the IECN to aid the overseas visa offices. Your information will not be used in any other manner and will not be stored by FPT coordinators after it has been sent. We will send the details of all participants who have provided information to IECN at the end of each month. In accordance with Australia's Privacy Act 1988, any information an event organiser or participant provides to the IECN will only be used to facilitate visa processing with the relevant Australian visa office overseas.
