PhD student, Mr MAO Tian, supervised by Dr Ricky Lau, has received the Best Student Paper Award in the 6th IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference 2014. His winning paper is called “An Intelligent Scatter Search (ISS) Algorithm for Scheduling of Charging a Single EV”
The conference was organized by the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – Power and Energy Society (IEEE PES), the world’s largest forum for sharing technological developments in the electric power industry and where the leading power engineering researchers and industry practitioners present and discuss the latest developments on emerging power industry issues, of critical importance, to countries in the Asia Pacific region.
