Mr CHAN Ho Chung (CDE, Year 4) and Mr MENG Xinmin (ECE, Year 4), under the supervision of Dr Ray Cheung, have won the Third Prize in the CCF TCARCH Customized Computing Challenge 2022. Customized Computing Challenge is hosted by CCF TCARCH (中國電腦學會體系結構專委會) and jointly organized by Center for Energy-Efficient Computing and Applications of Beijing University and AMD-Xilinx. Prof Michael Tse, Chair Professor of EE, has received Second Place for the 2021 IEEE Power Electronics Society Transactions Prize Paper Award. The winning paper, co-authored with scholars from Harbin Institute of Technology, is titled “General pathways to higher order compensation circuits for IPT converters via sensitivity analysis”. Their paper was ranked as one of the best of the awarded papers from a total of 1233 papers published in the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics in 2021.
