PhD student, Mr Zhou Xinyu, has won the Second Place in the 14th High Efficiency Power Amplifier Student Design Competition. The winning project supervised by Dr W S Chan is called "Broadband High Efficiency Post-matching Doherty Power Amplifier Based on Mixed-Topology".
The competition was held at the IEEE MTTS 2018 International Microwave Symposium. Competitors were required to design a Microwave Power Amplifier (PA) with both high efficiency and linearity. Mr Zhou received an award from the same competition last year.
