PhD student, Mr DING Chen, has won the First Prize of Best Student Paper Award at the 2020 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference of Antennas and Propagation (APCAP). The winning paper, supervised by Prof K M Luk, is titled “Rotation-Free Phaseless Far-Field Gain Measurement of Linearly polarized Antennas Using Artificial Anisotropic Polarizers”.
APCAP is an international forum for the exchange of information on the progress and recent advancements in the research and development of innovative antenna technology and radio wave propagation. The 9th APCAP originally scheduled to be held in Xiamen, China was held online on 4 -7 August 2020 due to the COVID-19. There were 8 prizes (First/Second/Third Prize) presented and our student is the only one to receive the First Prize of the Best Student Paper Award.
