PhD students, Mr CHUI Kwok Tai and Mr LI Yee Shing Benjamin, received the Best Paper Award in the 2014 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics – China (ICCE-China). The winning paper, supervised by Dr K F Tsang and Prof Henry Chung and co-authored with an EE research staff, Mr HUNG Faan Hei, is called “Appliance Signature: Multi-modes Electric Appliances”.
ICCE-China 2014 was organized by the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society and was held on 9 – 13 April 2014 in Shenzhen. This year, it focused on the applications and technologies of IoT related to aspects of Smart Grid, Intelligent Medical Services, Home Automation, Intelligent Transportation and Radio Frequency Identification. By prompting outstanding and latest research findings, the conference inspired innovative and novel ideas through discussions of IoT topics.
