Prof C H Chan Winning 2019 IEEE AP-S Harrington-Mittra Computational Electromagnetics Award

Prof C H Chan, Chair Professor of EE, has been selected to receive the 2019 IEEE AP-S Harrington-Mittra Computational Electromagnetics Award. The citation for this award is “For fundamental contributions to fast solutions of integral equations using FFT with applications to scattering, antennas and interconnect structures in homogeneous and layered medium”.

Each year, the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (IEEE AP-S) recognizes individuals or groups of individuals who have made an impact on technology or the society in distinct ways. The Harrington-Mittra Award is one of the Field Awards set up by IEEE AP-S to recognize distinguished contributions based upon technical achievements and/or excellence in education and teaching. The Harrington-Mittra Award in Computational Electromagnetics was established in 2013 to recognize the past technical accomplishments and future potential of an outstanding contributor to the area of Computational Electromagnetics.
