This 9-month programme teaches high school students essential knowledge and skills related to AI, GenAI and AIoT technologies, engineering and mathematics, as well as hands-on software and hardware programming. It also aims to nurture positive values and attitudes, such as ethics of using AI technology, ability to distinguish between real and fake contents, and perseverance to overcome problems.
Target: 50 students (Secondary 4-5)
Programme Delivery Period: May 2024 - Jan 2025
Please find more details of the programme HERE.
The sessions successfully attracted over 180 student counts. By joining the sessions, students got more thorough understanding about the features and curriculums, learning opportunities, career prospects of graduates, comparison of majors, etc. of the four majors being presented by our Year 1 and Major Programme Leaders – Prof Sammy Chan (Year 1), Prof L M Po (CDE), Prof Andy Chan (ELEL), Prof Andrew Leung (INFE), and Prof Arindam Basu (MEE).
Before indicating choices of majors, it is a unique opportunity for year one students to learn more about the features, curriculums, learning opportunities, career paths of graduates, etc. of different majors. Apart from major talks, you can ask questions directly to the 4 major leaders. The event is highly recommended to all EE year one students.

On 7 March 2024, the EE Student Chapter hosted the much-anticipated annual T-Shirt Design Competition, lasting four months and fostering a vibrant spirit of creativity and unity within the CityU Electrical Engineering community. With a total of seven stunning designs submitted by our talented student body, the competition drew enthusiastic participation. The winning design, created by Ms. Zou Chuyang Claire, captured the essence of being an EE Student and won the highest number of votes. The first runner-up, Mr. Lun Tsz Ho, and the second runner-up, Mr. Raymond Surya Onggowarsito, were also recognized for their exceptional contributions. The top three designs were awarded shopping vouchers worth HKD 500, HKD 300, and HKD 100, respectively. The T-shirts featuring the winning design were produced and distributed to all participants and lucky voters. The event not only highlighted the creativity within our community but also strengthened the bonds among students, creating lasting memories.
We extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to each and every one of them for their invaluable contributions and professionalism.

On 17 November, 2023, EEHS organized a successful EEHS Annual meeting and sharing session for students, fostering a deeper understanding of electrical engineering and facilitating academic and industry planning. The gathering strengthened connections between students and faculty, featuring activities like reviewing the past year's achievements and sharing career paths of notable graduates. We also organized one-to-many discussions between them, enabling students to connect with faculty in their areas of interest. Emphasizing free discussion and interaction, the event provided a platform for students to gain academic knowledge, broaden perspectives, and establish valuable connections within the field.
Prof. Cheung shared his experience about teaching and how to nurture students' potential, enabling them to cultivate their inherent talents. In addition, Prof Basu introduced our newly launched programme - BEng in Microelectronics Engineering 工學士(微電子工程學) and its opportunities in future. Whether they are alumni or students, they all benefited a lot from these presentations and learned more about the development of EE.
We were so happy to see that visitors were amazed and impressed by the innovative projects developed by our professors and students.
