CityUHK JUPAS Consultation Day 2025

CityUHK JUPAS Consultation Day will be held on 17 May 2025 (Saturday). The EE Department will offer a talk to introduce the learning exposure at EE and career opportunities in the field. Our faculty and students will also be around to offer advice or answer any questions you may have about studying at EE. Lion Rock Hike
They hiked from Lion Rock Country Park, climbed up to Amah Rock and finished this good exercise at Hung Mui Kuk. When situation allows, Department is ready to organize more this kind of get-together with EE students in all levels for networking and exchange.

A total of 48 submissions were received. Congratulations to the following winners! Awards were presented to them by the judge panel, Professor Ben Leung, Dr. Chim Hung and Ms Jenny Lim, on 23 April 2021.

EE Student Chapter Company Visit
Students interacted with executives and employers to learn about relevant job opportunities, as well as gain insights from their iconic products. They actively asked questions during the visit to know more about the company and were excited by the job opportunities and the challenges ahead.

Major Allocation Information Sessions 2021
The sessions successfully attracted 196 student counts. By joining the sessions, students got more thorough understanding about the features and curriculums, learning opportunities, career prospects of graduates, comparison of majors, etc. of the three majors being presented by our Year 1 and Major Programme Leaders – Dr Sammy Chan (Year 1), Dr Yanni Sun (CDE), Dr Andy Chan (ELEL), and Prof H C So (INFE).

Second Departmental Advisory Committee Meeting in 2020/21
Departmental Advisor Committee members normally meet once per semester to discuss curriculum and training enhancement, fostering closer tie with the industry, and the publicity of EE field. Thanks for their genuine sharing and valuable advices, the Department has been steered to excel in its teaching and research in diversified ways.

Electrical Engineering Honor Society (EEHS) Alumni Sharing Sessions in March 2021
Both speakers Mr. SONG Xiangchen, who will start as a PhD student in Carnegie Mellon University and Miss LI Yuqi, who is currently studying at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a PhD student are 2017 ECE graduates, they generously shared their experience in applying graduate studies, undergraduate research and tips about how to find good research topics. They also talked about how to improve communication skills, problem solving skills and the ways to find initiatives. The talks ended with interactive and informative Q&A among participants.
