Major Allocation Information Sessions 2026

Before indicating choices of majors, it is a unique opportunity for year one students to learn more about the features, curriculums, learning opportunities, career paths of graduates, etc. of different majors. CityU Information Day 2016

Thousands of students and parents explored the professional education opportunities on offer at EE Department during CityU Information Day held under the theme “Professional, Creative, For the World”. Exhibition booth, informative programme talks and interesting laboratory tours were arranged to let visitors have thorough understanding on the majors we offer and the learning environment of CityU-EE.

Featured Panel Discussion on Hong Kong Youth’s Local and Global Challenges by Mr Lau Ming Wai

Mr Lau, the Chairperson of Youth on Commission and a council member of CityU, shared his views and exchanged ideas with about 200 students on how upcoming opportunities and challenges are shaping the future of the new generation of youth in Hong Kong, in a featured panel discussion titled “Hong Kong Youths’ Local and Global Challenges: From Frustration to Inspiration & Innovation” organized by EE.

Mr Lau was invited to be a guest speaker of a panel discussion, titled “Hong Kong Youths’ Local and Global Challenges: From Frustration to Inspiration & Innovation”, which was moderated by Prof Stella W Pang, Head of EE Department, on 4 October 2016.

Career Talks by Renowned IT Companies

Five renowned IT companies, namely Atos Information Technology (HK) Ltd., KPMG, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, PCCW Solutions and Hong Kong Telecommunications were invited to deliver career talks which provided our EE students the opportunity to gain more insights of the career prospect and development of the industry.

Career advising is one of the emphases the Department specially put resources in. With the support from the industry, on 7 March 2016, delegates from renowned IT Companies were invited to give career talks on-campus to our final year undergraduate and master students.
