CityUHK JUPAS Consultation Day 2026

CityUHK JUPAS Consultation Day will be held on 16 May 2026 (Saturday). The EE Department will offer a talk to introduce the learning exposure at EE and career opportunities in the field. Our faculty and students will also be around to offer advice or answer any questions you may have about studying at EE. EE Career Talk

With the tremendous support from the industry, on 29 October 2021, delegates from renowned companies, namely Centre for Intelligent Multidimensional Data Analysis Limited, Cryto.com, Lee Kum Kee International Holdings Ltd., GP Electronics (HK) Limited and Origo Ltd, were invited to give career talk over zoom to our Year-3 and final year students.

Thanks to the participating companies, our students were informed a clear picture of the career opportunities, prospects and development in the respective companies and in the industry. Students were excited by the job opportunities and the challenges ahead.

EE Staff Meeting with the President

The President, who treasures opportunities to listen to views from staff community across campus, regularly meets with different units to discuss matters of mutual interest.

The meeting with EE faculty and staff was held on 26 October 2021. Different topics on University strategies and development were touched on. The exchanges were meaningful and valued by our staff.

Virtual CityU Information Day 2021

Virtual CityU Information Day was successfully held on 23 Oct 2021. The EE Department has held live online sessions throughout the day, introducing students and parents to the field of EE and how our undergraduate programme prepares students for meaningful careers in the field.

EEHS Internship Sharing

Electrical Engineering Honor Society (EEHS) organized an Internship Sharing for all EE students on 8 October 2021 via Zoom.
The sharing invited four speakers from different companies/institutions to share their internship experiences. All the participants enjoyed the sharing and found it’s very useful as this is an opportunity to enhance their understanding about career prospects as well as make better plans for their near future.

Electrical Engineering Honor Society (EEHS) and Electrical Engineering Student Chapter (EESC) - Green Tomato Company Visit

EEHS and EESC organized a half-day company visit at Green Tomato (GT) on 24 September 2021. In this visit, students knew more about IT industry such as the differences between front end and back end. GT also kindly shared their experience which encouraged the students to find their interests and future career path.

It was a great opportunity for them to get in touch with the actual working environment like routine operation of IT industry through this activity. All of the participants found the visit valuable and meaningful. Green Tomato (GT) is a Hong Kong based innovation consultancy that provided mobile application services to a variety of industries like KFC, Pizza Hut, HSBC, etc.
