Prominent Scholar from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, shared on "Facing Trade Wars in the Information Age"

Professor Chih-Chieh, Carol, LIN, the Distinguished Professor at National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Taiwan, and the Chair Professor of Social Justice of NCTU School of Law, delivered a seminar titled "Facing Trade Wars in the Information Age-Trade Secret Protection and the U.S. Economic Espionage Act" on 6 September 2019. This seminar aimed at exploring trade war and its relationship to IP protection as well as providing legal advice to protect important research and business information. During the visit, she also joined the science and engineering female faculty meeting. Her sharing at the seminar and the meeting stimulated vibrant discussion among faculty, researchers and students.

Prof Lin has been dedicated to social justice and legal reform. She was appointed as judicial reform advisor by the President Tsai of Taiwan and has been the director of legal department in Transparency International Taiwan since 2010. She was also awarded Fulbright Senior Research Grants in 2011 and being voted as Best Teacher Award three times (2009, 2014 and 2019) in NCTU.
