CityUHK EE will hold a Programme Information Session and Interviews for JUPAS Applicants. Students will join an information session to know about the programme, meet with our Admission Tutors and professors, receive first-hand sharing from current students, and get a chance to ask us questions.

The First Joint-School Student Symposium (第1屆“兩地三校”青年學生論壇)

The event was well participated by about 50 students coming from the three universities; among them, 14 were EE students of CityU. The forum discussed several timely Hi-Tec issues on both industry and education. The host also invited Tencent (Machine Learning) Research Engineer to share his views and Hi-Tech perspectives at Tencent with students. The event is highly successful enabling EE students in broadening horizons on Hi-Tech and Hi-Tech education in China and overseas.

EE Soft Skills Series - (III) Further Your Career By Studying Postgraduate Degree Abroad
A final year student, getting 3 offers from Columbia University, University of California San Diego, and University of California Irvine, partnered with Prof Chow on the day to share the opportunities for postgraduate studies in overseas countries; tips on how to best present the application; and important things to note in preparing applications.
Research Symposium for Postgraduate Students 2018
This year, a total of 52 posters were submitted and presented, and seven were selected to receive the Best Presenter Awards according to topical track. The day rounded off with invaluable exchanges and conversations.

EE Soft Skills Series (II) Interpersonal Skills in Semi-formal Occasions
Nowadays in an interconnected world people of different national and cultural backgrounds come across others in both professional and casual situations, some people skills, which seem trivial, such as how you project your voice, when you should crack a joke to break the ice, or what words you use in your conversations, would however have a huge impact on how others perceive you. Prof Chow reiterated in the workshop that we must always respect others and know how to show our respect in a way that others feel comfortable with us.
