CityUHK EE Enterprise Innovation Hub (EIH): Collaboration Conference

The conference commenced with welcoming remarks delivered by Prof. Zhao Yang Dong, Head and Chair Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, followed by an address from Mr. Perkins Ho, Director of the Development Office. Prof. Alan Lam, Director of the Enterprise Innovation Hub, then presented EIH’s vision, facilities, and collaboration framework, emphasizing the Hub's commitment to bridging academia and industry through impactful research, knowledge transfer, and talent cultivation.

Following the opening session, guests took part in a guided tour of the EIH laboratory facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the Hub’s research infrastructure and ongoing projects.

A key highlight of the conference was the Parallel Matching Sessions, during which faculty members and industry representatives engaged in focused discussions on potential joint research projects, internship opportunities, technology transfer, and long-term strategic partnerships. CityUHK faculty participants included Prof. Zhao Yang Dong, Prof. Lin Dai, Prof. Yanni Sun, Prof. Hong Yan, Prof. Din Ping Tsai, Prof. Yue Zhu, Prof. Arindam Basu, Prof. Leanne L.H. Chan, Prof. Ray Cheung, Prof. Hanke Feng, Prof. Derrick Jiang, Prof. Alan Lam, Prof. Li Hao Liang, Prof. Song Qun, Prof. Alex Wong, and Prof. Mu Ku Chen.

The conference was attended by representatives from a diverse range of industry partners, including Apple iOS Club, Braillic, Computer and Technologies, Hong Kong Lute Technology, Locolla, MEDImaging AI, NTT, Ricoh HK, Root Global, SenseTime, Shenzhen Junye Green Low-Carbon Technology, Shenzhen Lute Innovation Technology, Suga International and Surrich International. Their participation across sectors such as IT, telecommunications, AI, sustainability, electronics, and smart technology highlighted the wide-ranging scope of potential collaborations.

Concluding the event, Prof. Ray Cheung expressed sincere gratitude to all participating companies and faculty members for their active involvement.
