Congratulations to Prof Ray Cheung for being awarded the Certificate of Merit at the Fourth National Award for Excellence in Innovation

Prof Ray Cheung, Associate Provost (Digital Learning), Director of the Institute of Future Learning, and Professor in EE, has been awarded a Certificate of Merit at the Fourth National Award for Excellence in Innovation. This prestigious national award recognizes his outstanding contributions to post-quantum cryptography, science communication, and community service.

The National Award for Excellence in Innovation is jointly organized by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Conferred on a triennial basis, this award recognizes professionals and organizations that have made exceptional contributions in fundamental research, frontier exploration, major equipment and engineering projects, transformation of research outcomes, innovation and entrepreneurship, and social services.

Widely recognized as a top honor in the industry, only 229 scientists and technologists nationwide have been selected for this award. This achievement underscores Prof Cheung’s outstanding academic accomplishments and his significant impact on the field.
