Mr CHENG Cheung Yu (INFE, Year 3) and Miss RUAN Yuyan (2022 CDE graduate), who formed a team with a student from Department of Computer Science, have won the Second Prize in the Global Final of Huawei ICT Competition 2021-2022 under the Innovation category. The winning project, supervised by Dr Ray Cheung, is titled “CanSee 2.0: A Convenient, Efficient and Comprehensive Platform for Lung Cancer Diagnosis”. Prof Ron Chen (Chair Professor of EE) and Prof Chengqing Li (2008 PhD graduate supervised by Prof Chen and now Professor at Xiangtan University) have received the Guillemin-Cauer Best Paper Award 2022 by IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.
