In celebration of the 30th anniversary of CityUHK and EE Department, the Research Student Poster Competition was held during February and March 2025, offering an interactive platform to showcase the excellence of the research works of our students to the EE community and the industry as well as fostering exchange and collaboration at large.
A total of 35 submissions, covering areas in Computing and Data Analysis, Communications, Control and Optimization, Electronics, Electromagnetics, Networks, Photonics, and Power Systems, were received to join the first round of competition held on 28 February 2025. Eight finalists were shortlisted by judges comprising selected EE faculty members specialized in diverse research areas to enter the final competition held on 14 March 2025. Industrial partners, EE faculty, and research students got together on the day to share and celebrate the research achievement. Apart from EE faculty members, three esteemed guests from the industry were invited to be judges. First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and Merit Prizes were set up to recognize outstanding poster presentations. The top three winners also conducted PowerPoint presentation to share more of their research ideas and works to the participants. The event rounded off with impressive presentations, invaluable discussion, and encouragement.
