Student Tutoring Scheme has been introduced by EE department since 2007/08 that aims to cultivate a peer-assisted learning environment. Senior students with good academic performance are recruited to enhance students' understanding in course materials and improve students' overall learning and reasoning skills.

Student Mentoring Scheme (SMS) is a university-wide scheme introduced by Student Development Services (SDS) that aims to help freshmen adapt smoothly to university life and the new learning environment. Senior students are shaped as big brothers and big sisters for new students to facilitate their settlement in CityUHK and their home department.

The MSc programme aims to provide an enhancement of specialist technical knowledge in strategically selected areas, such as RF engineering and microwaves circuits, nanotechnology and microsystems, antennas and applied electromagnetics, wireless communications and networks, photonics and optical communications, dynamics and control, machine learning and data technology that are relevant to the current and anticipated future needs from industry.
