Commencement 2025 – EE Sessions

Adding to the excitement, the ceremony also featured the presentation of the EE Annual Awards, honoring the remarkable achievements of outstanding EE alumni and recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the Department. The day concluded on a joyful note with graduates and professors capturing memories through group photos, marking a wonderful end to a truly special celebration.  

The JUPAS Programme Information Session cum Group Interviews 2025

The event commenced with an inspirational talk and programme information session by Prof. Alex Wong and Prof. Katie Chan. They provided an overview of our programme, highlighting the successes of our EE graduates and the growth of the EE sector in the recent job market. Subsequently, the students were divided into groups. They were given a demonstration of robots by our RoboCon team, and a sharing session by our graduate. Parallel sessions of group interviews were also arranged. 

CityUHK EE Collaborates with Six Globally-renowned Enterprises to Establish the Eighth Joint Laboratory, Jointly Cultivating Global Innovative Technology Talents

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) - Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) established the CityUHK Electrical Joint Laboratory with six well-known technology enterprises, including Alta Sicuro, AusMed, Autotoll, GOOGOLTECH, LiPOWER and Locobike on May 8, 2025, to jointly promote scientific research and knowledge technology transfer, and cultivate global technology talents. Over 70 participants joined onsite and online for this event.

CityU EE Collaborates with Six Globally-renowned Enterprises to Establish the Seventh Joint Laboratory, Jointly Cultivating Global Innovative Technology Talents

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) - Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) established the CityU Electrical Joint Laboratory with six well-known technology enterprises, including Avnet, Mathworks, MED Imaging AI, NTT, RICOH and Xiaomi on October 17, 2024, to jointly promote scientific research and knowledge technology transfer, and cultivate global technology talents. Over 60 participants joined onsite and online for this event.

Admission Interview and Information Session 2024 for Local Direct Applicants

Four sessions of admission interviews and the programme information sessions were arranged for prospective local non-JUPAS (direct) applicants by the Department of Electrical Engineering. The early round admissions interview has been conducted in early January 2024 and the main round from March to July 2024. About 255 students mainly from UOW College Hong Kong, HKU Space Community College, PolyU HK Community College, and the Vocational Training Council (Wong Haking & Shatin campuses) participated.
